The Austin bats take flight at dusk and fly over the city. The bats are annual summer residents in our Austin, Round Rock and surrounding habitat areas. Austin boasts the largest urbanized bat colony. They currently live under the Congress Avenue bridge in downtown Austin. Bats have attracted tourists from far and wide to see the nightly ritual of flight in to the Texas skies.
